The Lady ‘Cats bounced back from their Frisco League final loss to Richland on Monday, December 7, with a home win against rivals Saskatoon.

At the end of the first quarter, the Lady ‘Cats had only a small lead over a good Tigers squad with 11:10. Halftime didn’t show much of a difference in scores either as the Lady ‘Cats again had a small 17-15 lead.

Tension rose in the second half when coach Rissler received a technical foul for licking. The third quarter ended with licking on top, 32-24.

The Lady Wildcats extended their lead in the fourth and Licking won by a considerable margin of 47:34.

The JV Lady ‘Cats won the evening’s first game against Saskatoon (50-38) after fighting their way back from a 23:27 halftime deficit.

The Lady ‘Cats suffered two straight defeats after Saskatoon. On the tenth, Strafford came into town and hit licking on their home court, 54-66. The joint venture fared better, winning 39-27.

On Monday, December 14th, the ladies hoped to avenge their Frisco League Championship loss to Richland, but it shouldn’t be. The Lady ‘Cats again fell to the Lady Bears with a score of 60-63. The JV game only lasted two quarters and ended with 10-15 points.

On Thursday the Lady ‘Cats will try to get back on the road to success in Mansfield.
