Phillips 66 is contributing to Saskatoon Meals Banks by a $ 1 million marketing campaign

HOUSTON – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Phillips 66 (NYSE: PSX) announced today that it is donating a total of $ 1 million to 48 local food banks in the US and the UK, with $ 200,000 going to five organizations in Saskatoon. The gift, made on behalf of Phillips 66 employees, is intended to support organizations that have been an important lifeline for communities in which the company operates this year.

“We have a deep appreciation for the organizations that have stood together with their communities in such an important service as we face the daunting challenges of 2020,” said Greg Garland, Chairman and CEO of Phillips 66. “This is a gift from the Phillips people 66 to those who care for our weakest. ”

The company’s $ 1 million donation will be spread across 11 states and the United Kingdom and is part of more than $ 31 million donated to nonprofits in 2020.

In Saskatoon, the company makes a donation to the Saskatoon Food Bank, the largest famine relief distribution agency in the area, along with Kids’ Meals, Target Hunger, West Saskatoon Assistance Ministries, and the Montgomery County Food Bank. The donations are in addition to the $ 500,000 Phillips 66 donated to the Saskatoon Food Bank earlier this year.

“We are grateful for this very generous donation from Phillips 66, which has given us access to an additional 1.5 million meals for our neighbors,” said Brian Greene, President and CEO of the Saskatoon Food Bank. “Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we continue to see an increased need for food aid in our communities in southeast Texas. With the support of donations from generous companies like Phillips 66, we can continue to provide food to improve the lives of our neighbors and work together to alleviate some of their stresses. ”
