Saskatoon, Regina and Moose Jaw all shatter temperature information Saturday

Saskatoon, Regina and Moose Jaw all shattered their previous record highs for June 18th on Saturday.

In fact, Moose Jaw was the hottest place in Canada Saturday recording a day-time high of 35.9. Danielle Desjardins, a meteorologist with Environment Canada says that city’s previous June 18th high was 33.9 set back in 1986.

The mercury in Saskatoon got up to 32.1 shattered the previous record of 31.8 set back in 1988.

Prince Albert reached 29.9 degrees Celsius, not quite enough to shatter their record of 30.7. Thundershowers in the North Battleford area cooled things off as that community only got up to 24.2 yesterday (sat).

Regina broke a new record as they hit 35.1, surpassing the previous record of 33.2 set back in 1988.

According to Desjardins around 10 Saskatchewan communities broke temperature records Saturday.
