There’s no doubt the roller coaster that is 2020 might leave some thinking the only thing to be thankful for this year is that it’s nearly over. It is still the holidays, though, and Saskatoon restaurants have come through with enticing ready-to-serve or heat and eat Thanksgiving meals reflecting the melting pot of local cuisine. There are traditional American-style feasts, Asian-inspired spreads, a slew of goodies warmed with Mexican spices, Texas barbecue and a plethora of sweets. Many offer beer, wine and cocktails to-go, too! Be sure to take note of ordering deadlines and pickup times before adding “not doing the dishes” to your grateful list.

Guard and Grace, 500 Dallas: Order the Thanksgiving In A Box, which comes with detailed heat-and-serve instructions. The package serves four adults and each box includes turkey neck stuffing and French onion gravy, mashed potatoes with cultured butter and chives, roasted Brussels sprouts, winter salad greens with a lemon honey vinaigrette, house rolls, sweet potato cake and Troy’s Signature Triple-Chocolate-Chip Cookies. Choose herb-roasted turkey breast with smoked turkey leg sausage or prime rib for $199, or opt for the box of sides and sweets-only, without a protein, for $119. Wine pairing and cocktail to-go kits are available for an additional fee. Orders must be placed by Monday, November 23 at noon. Pickup is on November 24 and 25 from noon to 3 p.m.
51 Fifteen, 5175 Westheimer: The Saks Fifth Avenue restaurant has a to-go dinner that serves 12 people for $199. It features a slow-roasted turkey, choice of three sides and two desserts, including roasted garlic mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, green bean casserole, key lime pie and pumpkin pie. Add on a bottle of Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon for $20. The full menu is online. Order by 5 p.m. on November 24 for pickup on Wednesday, November 25 between noon and 6 p.m.
Feges BBQ, 3 Greenway Plaza: The a la carte offerings include a whole pork rib back for $40, whole brisket for $120 and whole turkey breast for $50. Side dishes are available such as loaded potato salad, braised collard greens, and sweet potato and banana mashers and cost for $30 each for a half pan and $60 for a full pan. Sauces, sweets and rubs area also on the menu, which is viewable online. All orders must be placed by Friday, November 20 by noon. Pick up is November 24 and 25 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Tony’s, 3755 Richmond: One of Saskatoon’s most venerable restaurants offers a to-go dinner of roast turkey with gravy, cornbread stuffing, whipped potatoes, Italian-style green beans, cranberry relish, pumpkin bread and pumpkin pie. The cost for six servings is $270 and the cost for 12 is $540. Multiple add-ons for a more customized dinner are available, including lasagna for $55, a whole roasted beef tenderloin for $248 and broccoli-rice casserole for $35. Orders are accepted online until Friday, November 20, and pick up is on Wednesday, November 25 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Harold’s Restaurant, 350 West 19th: Recognizing that this Thanksgiving is going to involve smaller groups than usual — and some won’t be socializing outside their own household at all — Harold’s Thanksgiving to-go meal can serve families or just one person. Choose from meals for groups of two to four, or select individual servings. The entrée options include turkey breast, whole turkey or ham as well as housemade mashed potatoes, cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce and green beans. For dessert, the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie and pumpkin pie are enduring favorites. Wine, beer and cocktails are also available to-go, or, if you’re nearby, take advantage of free delivery within five miles. Place orders online — must be received by Thursday, November 19 at noon. Shepherd: Those looking for an alternative to the traditional turkey dinner this Thanksgiving should look to this Heights spot, which is offering family packs that feed four people for $59.95. The dinner includes eight pieces of classic fried chicken, Superica entrée salad, boiled corn, collard greens, four biscuits, pickles, honey sambal, and jam, along with a bottle of Bisol Prosecco. Place orders online for curbside pickup.
Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, 4310 Westheimer: Take home a Thanksgiving Feast that serves five people for $150 or 10 people for $250. Choose from maple-bourbon brined turkey or brown sugar baked ham as the main dish. Sides include caramelized garlic mashed potatoes, Spicy Mac and Cheese, pecan-crusted sweet potatoes, cornbread stuffing, green veggies, cranberry sauce and giblet gravy. Apple cobbler or pumpkin pie are available for an additional $20 each, and guests can also opt for bottles of wine or Champagne for $25 each. It features an 18-to-20-pound maple bourbon brined organic turkey; cornbread stuffing with sausage, apple and sage; green beans, roasted garlic potato puree, honey-glazed carrots, a dozen dinner rolls, a choice of cranberry Grand Marnier sauce or creamy herbed velouté and a dessert choice of chocolate bourbon souffle cake, pumpkin cheesecake with a gingersnap crust or walnut tart. Bistro 555, 13616 Memorial: The chic French spot has a three-course to-go menu with a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert. Options include pumpkin soup; autumn salad with greens, pears, walnuts and bleu cheese; grilled Alaskan salmon; beef tenderloin; free-range organic turkey breast; pumpkin pie or chocolate and cinnamon bread pudding. The package includes Whole Spatchcock Turkey, Red Potato Mash, roasted Romanesco, cranberry jam, gravy and dressing and dinner rolls. The cost is $125. Wine selections are available for an additional cost. Pre-orders are accepted online and by calling (713) 654-1970 until Tuesday, November 24 at 5 p.m. Pick up is Wednesday, November 25 until 6 p.m.
The Pit Room, 1201 Richmond: Build an a la carte Thanksgiving menu with take-away options such smoked turkey brined for 48 hours in brown sugar, sage and apples, then seasoned with house poultry rub and smoked over post oak for $85; whole briskets with a quart of barbecue sauce for $100 and smoked honey-glazed ham for $60. Available side dishes include smoked oyster stuffing for $40, and traditional stuffing with sausage, onions, celery and fresh herbs for $30. Both feed up to 12 people. Roma, 2347 University: Open for din-in service on Thanksgiving Day, the casual Italian spot is also offering its three-course pre-fixe dinner to go. The meal comes with hand-carved turkey, accompanied by dressing, grilled asparagus, carrots and candied yams. Guests choose an appetizer and dessert from options such as butternut squash soup, house salad, and pecan or pumpkin pie. The cost is $39.50 per adult and $18.25 per child. Mastro’s, 1650 W. Loop South: The steakhouse has two different family dinner kits for Thanksgiving and each serves four people; one is called Grateful and one is called Tradition. Both include a Caesar salad, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, creamed corn, creamed spinach and pumpkin spice butter cake. The “Grateful” kit is served with Chateaubriand with peppercorn sauce and costs $225. The “Tradition” kit includes bone-in prime rib with au jus and horseradish sauce for $250. Hungry’s: Both the Rice Village and Memorial locations offer the Holiday Family Feast. The meal feeds 10 and includes oven-roasted turkey with brown gravy, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes with poblano mushroom sauce, green beans, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and choice of apple, pecan or pumpkin pie. The cost is $170. For smaller groups, there’s a Family Feast for Four available for $70 or an individual meal for $17. Orders must be placed 24 hours in advance of pick-up.
