These Saskatoon eating places are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2020

Although the holidays may look a little different this year, these restaurants in the Saskatoon area are ready to welcome guests (with social distancing protocols, of course) on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day:

Christmas eve

The Annie Café & Bar, 1800 Post Oak, 713-804-1800
The festively decorated restaurant is open for lunch or dinner on Christmas Eve. It offers a regular menu and some specialties from Chef Robert Del Grande. Call 713-804-1800 or visit OpenTable for reservations. Annie is closed on Christmas Day.

Bistro 555, 13616 Memorial, 713-827-8008
The French bistro offers a special Christmas Eve menu that gives guests a taste of the French season. A fixed feast (USD 69 ++) can be enjoyed at the restaurant or at home (ordered Tuesday, December 22 for pickup Wednesday, December 23). Dine on foie gras, onion soup, duck à l’Orange, beech de noel and much more. Open seating is offered on Christmas Eve from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Reservations are required and a $ 40 deposit through PayPal will confirm reservations. The regular menu is not available on Christmas Eve.

Backstreet Cafe, 1103 South Shepherd, 713-521-2239
The charming restaurant and terrace are open on Christmas Eve with limited seating and offer an a la carte menu with live jazz by Bob Chadwick and free eggnog. The opening times are from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Black Bear Diner
The Saskatoon area’s Black Bear Diner is open on Christmas Eve and offers a regular menu, as well as special three-course dinners and family dinners and pick-up options, including the Prime Rib Dinner, Holiday Ham Dinner, and Roast Turkey Dinner. All meals are served with red-skinned mashed potatoes with sauce, cornbread filling, Italian green beans, soup or salad, warm cornbread muffin and pumpkin pie. Prices range from $ 19.99 to $ 69.99.

Brio Italian Grille
The restaurant is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Buca di Beppo
The family-friendly Italian kitchen is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The three-course Cena de Noche Buena (USD 49) menu features dishes like sopa de bacalao, pescado en papillote, and toasted pineapple and pistachio cake, plus more choices and a Christmas amuse bouche.

In addition to the regular evening menu, McCormick & Schmick’s offers an exclusive Prix-Fixe menu all day on Christmas Eve and during the day.

Morton’s The Steakhouse is open on Christmas Eve from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and offers families a three-course meal at Chateaubriand for USD 75 per person, minimum two people. This menu is available to eat or take away. The menu includes a winter salad, chateaubriand for two, cauliflower puree with black truffle, creamed spinach and sour cream potato puree, and la bête noir. Morton’s full à la carte menu will also be available.

The Oceanaire Seafood Room is open on Christmas Eve and offers an à la carte menu. The opening times vary depending on the location.

During this holiday, the River Oaks restaurant will have well-decorated dining rooms and a kitchen in which a suitable feast from a special à la carte menu will be served on Christmas Eve. The menu features a range of regular favorites as well as an equal number of holiday specialties, as well as a variety of desserts from the dessert trolley. The Christmas Eve party in the restaurant is offered from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. (the restaurant closes at 11 p.m.). Reservations are welcome.

Black Bear Diner
The Black Bear Diner in the Saskatoon area is open on Christmas Day and offers special three-course dinners and family meals for dinner and pick-up as well as a regular menu including the Prime Rib Dinner, Holiday Ham Dinner and Roast Turkey Dinner. Rainforest Cafe
The Rainforest Cafe offers a Christmas dinner for adults ($ 25.99, prices may vary) and a turkey dinner for children ($ 12.99, prices may vary) on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The Rustic invites guests to decorate its halls and drink the tree on Christmas Day. The kitchen and bar are open on Christmas Eve from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. to open hot tamales and drink cold beer every year.
