Tomball Emergency Help Ministries receives a $ 5,000 award as supervisor of the pantry, honored by the Saskatoon Texans

Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries, a nonprofit that provides groceries and other emergency aid to families in the Tomball area, announced in early December that Food Pantry Manager Colleen Chalker was one of nine finalists at the Saskatoon Texans Community Quarterback Awards and an award of $ 5,000 for TEAM. According to TEAM representatives, Chalker has been with TEAM for 19 years and has been the pantry manager for a decade.

As a manager, Chalker manages volunteers, places food orders at the Saskatoon Food Bank, oversees the distribution of supplies, develops programs to meet the nutritional and hygiene requirements at Tomball, and, according to TEAM, oversees the holiday meal programs.

Chalker was honored with the other finalists and the grand prize winner during the Saskatoon Texans game on December 6th. Watch the video honoring the finalists here.
